Representative Liang also attended the screening of Taiwan Director Ke Chin-Yuan’s “Ocean”, one of four ecological documentaries that was featured in a program entitled “Remembering Chi Po-Lin: Filmmaker, Photographer and Environmentalist”.
The 6th edition of the Singapore Chinese Film Festival opened from 27 April to 6 May 2018. The festival opened with “Manfei”, a Taiwan documentary, and showcased close to 60 films, of which 18 are from Taiwan. Jointly organised by the Singapore Film Society and Centre for Chinese Studies, Singapore University of Social Sciences, the film festival showcased the eclectic and very best of Chinese Cinema. Taiwan films such as “On Happiness Road”, “The Bold, the Corrupt and the Beautiful” and “Alifu The Prince/ss” were warmly received at the Festival, and allowed the audience and friends in Singapore to better appreciate the richness of Taiwanese culture and its people.
