Other than Vel Tech University, students from University of Madras, SRM University and Indian Institute of Technology Madras are also selected in the 2018 Ministry of Education Taiwan Scholarship. Comparing the last few years, number of students selected for Taiwan Scholarship has increased drastically in 2018 after the introduction of New Southbound Policy. It is evident that the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Delhi and Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai had actively promoted the “people-oriented” policy of the New Southbound Policy and implemented the concrete results of two-way talent training.
