The SU Program Winner, Kiwi New Technology, solves the problems of both developers and investors by building an ecosystem that includes two global marketplaces – the KiWi Green Capital Market and the KiWi Global Green Exchange. The KiWi Green Capital Market is an online renewable energy investment platform built on blockchain technology, while the KiWi Green Exchange is a secondary marketplace for solar asset that operates globally.

This is the first time the Challenge has new faces from South Asian countries. Cordoba Ventures from Pakistan targets the medical industries, its Nurses and Allied Healthcare Professionals (NAHPs) human resources management platform “AIRMED” wants to transform healthcare in non-OECD countries, winning the TTA Special Award. Turing Chain, the Taiwan-based blockchain rising star, is also recognized by its privacy-first certificate validation solution “TuringCerts.” The startup is recently known as one of the producing partners of the first blockchain movie in Taiwan and Mandarin film market, “The Last Thieves,” and now ready to fight for a chance to position itself as a global startup in the Challenge.

Studio 1 Labs’ intelligent bed sheet solution and MangaX Technology’s MangaChat also won the TTA Special Awards. Studio 1 Labs provides the continuous respiratory monitoring with an intelligent bed sheet system. Its rule-based AI with Natural Language Processing is used for text-to-image conversion, and for sensing negative emotions within diary contents. MangaX Technology’s project, “EdTech for Bullying Prevention: The SEL 100 Project with MangaChat,” transforms emotion-focused therapy into the creation steps of a comic strip and evaluates students' emotions with the quantitative data computed from the diaries.
