The 15th President and Vice President as well as the 10th Legislative Yuan elections of the Republic of China (Taiwan) are scheduled to be held on January 11, 2020.
Foreign media is required to apply for press pass to attend the pre-election briefing and cover the Election Day ballot-counting both held by the Central Election Commission.
Those who wish to cover the events in Taiwan should fill out the attached application form and return to this office by December 20, 2019. Applications received later than this date will not be accepted. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan) will inform individual applicant through email when the press pass is available.
There is no group schedule arranged in Taiwan, nor any subsidy provided for media by this office or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan).
Please obtain necessary visa from this office for your visit. Apply at least 3 working days prior to your departure to Taiwan.
