Taiwan's secret in COVID-19 fight 'immediate, comprehensive action and joint efforts': TECC Rep.

In answer to questions by The Statesman, India’s prestigious news daily in English, Tien Chung-kwang, Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India said Taiwan’s secret in its successful fight against COVID-19 includes immediate reaction, a comprehensive system that controls national border and activates countermeasures down to the community level, as well as joint efforts by the public and private sector based on social trust.
Rep. Tien said Taiwan’s Academia Sinica and several leading vaccine manufacturers have discussed cooperation with entities in the US, EU, Canada, Czech Republic and other countries regarding the research and development of such biotechnology as rapid screening kits, reagents and vaccines on COVID-19. The National Cheng Kung University Hospital also shared Taiwan’s experience and expertise in containing the spread of the virus with nearly 14,000 Indian medical personnel on April 2 and 14 via video conferences, he added.
