As the pandemic has gradually eased, on the 15th of June 2020, DG Fan is pleased to meet our overseas compatriots under social distancing rules.
DG Fan thanked TCCA for its long term support, especially cohosting the Digital Economy Seminar in February. She then mentioned that even amid the pandemic, this office still endeavoured to strengthen its connections with the state of NSW.
We have held numerous online or phone conference with government officials to explore the possibility of collaboration and promote how Taiwan curbed the spread of COVID-19, our national mask production team and PPE manufacturing capability etc. We also coordinated webinars between Taiwanese and Australian think tanks and are currently organizing a Taiwan market webinar with NSW authority.
Ms Liu pointed out that the pandemic is a turning point for Taiwan. It allowed more people around the world to know about it, especially Australians have learned about Taiwan's achievement of combating COVID-19. As a community leader, She couldn’t be more proud.
