More than 350 singers and musicians participated, Puccini’s Turandot — an international opera co-production between National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) and Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Germany) — has become the largest-scale public performance since the beginning of the global pandemic. Thanks to the success of
Taiwan's epidemic prevention efforts, the production team at Weiwuying has been able to overcome many different challenges in order to stage this public performance in a safe way, compliant with anti-pandemic measures. With 3,722 seats (tickets) for two performances sold out in no time, Weiwuying has decided to air the performance live on the internet so that anybody who was unable to get a ticket, as well as our in-ternational friends overseas, can all join the audience of this magnificent performance. The performance of the Turandot will take place on August 28th at 7:30 Taiwan time at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) Opera House, and will be broadcast live on Weiwuying's official YouTube channel. Please tune in and experience the magic of love together with Princess Turandot.
