World Music Festival @Taiwan 2022, Taiwan's largest outdoor festival dedicated to world music, was held at Dajia Riverside Park from Oct. 14 to 16, with an aim to promote Taiwan's diverse music scene and expand global cultural exchanges.

Organized by the Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development (BAMID), artists and bands from South Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, the Philipines, and Estonia, as well as winners of the Golden Melody Awards and Golden Indie Music Awards including Paudull (陳建年), Ilid Kaolo (以莉・高露), Usay Kawlu (舞思愛), Leaf Yeh (葉穎), Paige Su (蘇珮卿), Musaubach (明馬丁), Lilium (百合花), and Tokyo Chun-Line (東京中央線), were invited to the festival to showcase various genres of music to the audience.

International and local artists including Korean trio Hey String, Malaysian singer-songwriter Alena Murang, Hakka singer-songwriter Huang Pei-shu (黃珮舒), duo beats Rich Huang (黃瑞豐) and Alex Wu (吳政君) and the winner of Best Taiwanese Album at the 33rd Golden Melody Awards, Lilium, were invited to perform at the opening press conference. Alena Murang previously participated in the 2018 edition and she is glad to attend the festival again this year. She also hopes to lead the audience to experience live music in a whole new way.

Deputy Minister of Culture Lee Ching-hwi (李靜慧) stated that Taiwan is not only home to a rich and diverse culture but it also embraces cultures from all around the world. This festival brings Taiwanese audiences closer to cultures in the world and allows Taiwan's music to reach worldwide audiences. She also stressed that MOC will continue its effort and welcome enterprises as well as private sectors to join in the effort in making Taiwan’s music industry successful.
