Representatives From International Organization ICF, Along with City Leaders from Canada, Spain and Officials from Vietnam, Visit New Taipei to Exchange Views of Experiences in Smart City Governance
On the path of smart city development, New Taipei City will collaborate with the international organization, Intelligent Community Forum (ICF), to host the "2024 NTPC Smart City Forum and ICF Top7 Global Cities Announcement" this year. This international event will kick off in New Taipei City on June 19th, bringing together experts and leaders from smart cities worldwide to discuss the benefits that AI innovation brings to sustainable smart city governance.

In order to strengthen the bridge of international collaboration, ICF Chairman and Co-founder John G. Jung specially invited Mayor Martin Ritsma from City of Stratford, Canada, Deputy Mayor Jose Cabrera from Madrid, Spain, and representatives from ICF Netherlands, Vietnam, and other international cities to visit New Taipei City Government on the morning of the 21st. Stratford has been shortlisted for the ICF Top7 cities multiple times and is an international city with excellent performance in the field of smart cities. Madrid, Spain, uses IoT technology to effectively manage water resources. Binh Duong Province, Vietnam, won the Smart City ICF Top1 in 2023, specially sent the delegations to exchange views with New Taipei City. This meeting is not only a friendly acquaintance but also the beginning of both sides working together to create and improve the future.

New Taipei City Deputy Mayor Chen Chwen-Jing welcomed the international guests and stated that New Taipei City actively promotes smart innovation through AI governance and safety supervision. The international forum co-organized with ICF this year will take "AI: The Innovation Accelerator" as the theme to discuss how artificial intelligence can become a key technology to drive economic growth, sustainable development and improve human welfare. NTPC invites international guests to participate and respond, through international exchanges with each other, to construct a vision of prosperity and sustainable living for all mankind.

The city government also arranged a visit to the New Taipei City Fire Department's Disaster and Emergency Command Center and the Ally Logistic Property. The New Taipei City Disaster and Emergency Command Center uses smart technology to improve rescue efficiency, including upgrading the AI 119 dispatch system, using big data dispatch modules for swift computation positioning, and building smart emergency rescue team. Many of Ally Logistic Property’s industrial warehouse uses AIoT technology to transform the business model of warehousing services and uses automation technology to improve logistics efficiency. These visits not only allow international representatives to experience the achievements of New Taipei City's smart city construction but also paves a solid foundation for future collaborations. New Taipei City will continue to advance on the road of smart cities and create a more intelligent and sustainable future with partners from all over the world.
