CECC confirms 2 more imported COVID-19 cases; two cases arrive in Taiwan from Philippines and US

On October 24, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced two new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Those two new cases (Case #549 and Case #550) entered Taiwan from the Philippines and the United States, respectively.

On October 22, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced four new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Those four new cases (Cases#545-548) entered Taiwan from Indonesia, the Philippines, and Turkey.

On October 20, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced three new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Those three new cases are a Filipina in her 20s (Case #541), a Filipino man in his 20s (Case #542), and a Taiwanese man in his 50s (Case #543). They all entered Taiwan from the Philippines.

On October 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced five new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the five new cases (Case #536-540), two entered Taiwan from the Philippines, and the remaining three traveled from France, Indonesia, and Russia.

CECC removes Sri Lanka from its list of medium-risk countries and moves Cambodia to the list of medium-risk countries

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that no additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were confirmed in Taiwan on October 14. As of writing, a cumulative total of 97,437 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 96,322. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 530 cases.

The Central Epidemic Command (CECC) points out that it is fake news, and urges the public not to spread the rumor.
