Taiwan is planning to hold five trade fairs in South and Southeast Asia next year to promote trade exchanges. That’s the word from Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) Chairman James Huang on Thursday. In order to promote Taiwan’s economic and trade exchanges with emerging markets, as well as develop talents who are familiar with local markets and languages, the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has conducted the Global Trade Pioneer Project for 6 consecutive years. It provides scholarships to eligible students who are studying international trade or related fields in order to do internships in emerging markets overseas.
