Taiwan’s picture books featured at Bangkok International Book Fair

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Thailand presented the showcase of Taiwan’s picture books at the 2024 Bangkok International Book Fair held from Mar. 28 to Apr. 8. Taiwanese authors Li Ju-ching (李如青), Yan Kai-hsin (嚴凱信), and Tsui Li-chun (崔麗君) were invited to the event to introduce their works.

The annual Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage from Taichung’s Dajia Jenn Lann Temple will start tonight at 11 p.m., marking the beginning of a 9-day, 8-night journey on foot. The route will pass through Taichung, Changhua, Yunlin, and Chiayi, with plans to return on the night of April 14. This afternoon, Deputy Mayor Huang Kuo-jung, on behalf of Mayor Lu Hsiu-yen, respectfully invited Mazu onto the palanquin.

Taoyuan Mayor Chang San-Cheng attended the “2024 Junior Chamber International World Congress (JCI) Launch Press Conference and Investment Promotion Briefing” on the afternoon of March 28. Mayor Chang stated that the 2024 JCI will be held at the Messe Taoyuan. He thanked the Junior Chamber International Chung-Li for successfully bidding for the hosting rights. It is expected that more than 5,000 people from around the world will attend the event in Taiwan.

The RTOs International Network (RIN) has convened its CEOs Meeting 2024 in Taiwan on March 26-27. Operating under the European Association of Research and Technology Organisations (EARTO), RIN stands as the world’s largest platform connecting research and technology organizations (RTOs) globally. It is the first time for RIN to hold its CEOs Meeting in Taiwan, bringing together 12 esteemed international RTOs from countries such as Finland, France, Germany, Japan, and Canada.
