NIA brings Myanmar’s beautiful multiculturalism to New Taipei City Gongliao Elementary School

National Immigration Agency New Taipei City Service Center collaborated with the New Taipei City Banqiao New Immigrant Family and Women Service Center to improve students’ awareness of Southeast Asian culture in rural elementary schools. A Myanmar cultural event (緬麗飛行) was recently organized in New Taipei City’s Gongliao Elementary School. A new immigrant (張麗英) from Myanmar was invited as the lecturer to the event.

Registration for Southeast Asian and International Language Competition of New Taipei City now kicked off

The Education Department, New Taipei City Government will host a Southeast Asian Language Competition and an International Language Competition on the purpose of fostering students' interest and motivation in learning Southeast Asian languages as well as to provide them the opportunity to exhibit their learning outcomes. June 1st to June 30th will be the registration period. Thai, Cambodian, Burmese, Malay, Vietnamese, Hindi, Cambodian, and Filipino are among the seven participating languages. B

Tourism Bureau launches incentives to attract visitors to Taiwan

Taiwan’s Tourism Bureau launched an incentive April 28 offering transit or transfer passengers at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport a free half-day tour in the country as part of a government program to attract more visitors from abroad.

The National Central Library becomes 90 years old this year. 2023 Multicultural Regional Revitalization Camp for Children of New Immigrants Welcomes New Immigrants to participate

The “Multicultural Regional Revitalization Camp for Children of New Immigrants” (新二代多元文化在地創生培育營) held by National Immigration Agency which is envisaged that the second-generation immigrants would be able to mix Taiwan’ local traits with innovation and diversity to generate new local qualities. An estimated 50 participants will be recruited to the five-day course, which will include a visit at the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology and other locations.

2023 Eid-al-Fitr in Taipei: Experience Eid-al-Fitr and Muslim Culture at Daan Forest Park

The “2023 Eid-al-Fitr in Taipei” celebration, with the theme of grass picnics and food markets, was organized in Daan Forest Park by the Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government. On April 23, the “Muslim Little Travel Exhibition” will be organized for the first time, together with performances and cultural experiences, and everyone was welcomed to Daan Forest Park to celebrate the holiday.
