Mr. Ravi Kottarakara, Secretary General of the Film Federation of India together with Mr. E. Thangaraj, Secretary of the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation called on Director-General Charles Li on the afternoon of July 9th, 2018 to further discuss the detailed arrangements of their delegation’s visit to the filming sites in various counties and cities in Taiwan.
In order to facilitate reliable consultation and effective resolution of all the legal and tax issues the Taiwanese companies may encounter while they are endeavoring to do business with and invest in South India, Director-General Charles Li, on the morning of July 11, 2018, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Vinod Surana, the CEO and Managing Partner of the Surana & Surana International Attorneys in Chennai.
The representative Mr. William Lin held a Dragon Boat Festival celebration at the premises of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Brunei on June 23. The President of the Taiwan Business Association in Brunei, Mr. Zhuang Xi Shan, the President of the Taiwan Graduates Association, Mr Han Pau Ting, also the members and family of Board of Directors of the two associations, around 120 people were present at the event; there were friends from Canada as well who have joined the event.

On 15 April 2018, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang hosted a theatre play entitled “The Amazing Journey” for friends and personalities from Singapore’s education sector. Over 400 persons attended the Taiwan-Singapore joint production by the Arts Theatre of Singapore and the Taiwan Apple Theatre.
The delegation of MLAs from Tamil Nadu government consisting of Dr R. Nataraj, Mr Virugai. V.N. Ravi, Dr V.P.B. Paramasivam, and Mr Thamizhselvan called on Director-General Charles Li on 19th April 2018 to express their gratitude for arranging their visit to Taiwan dated 09th April to 13th April 2018.
Ambassador Chung-Kwang Tien attended “Opening Ceremony of Taipei World Trade Center New Delhi” held by Taiwan External Trade Development Council on 17 April 2018. Hon. Harish Meena, MP, Hon. Meenakashi Lekhi, MP, Mr Deepak Kumar, Executive Director of ITPO, Ms Ambika Sharma, Director General of FICCI, Mr Saurabh Sanyal, Secretary General of PHD Chamber of Commerce together with important business leaders from India and Taiwan also participated in the event.
On 26 March 2018, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang visited the Taiwan Pavilion at the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and Exhibition, an annual event which brings together international education policy-makers, practitioners and experts from across the globe.
