Mayor of Butuan Ronnie Vincente Lagnada from the Philippines led a delegation to visit Taichung City Government today (October 17), and they were received by Deputy Mayor Bruce Linghu. Both parties exchanged opinions in regard to issues such as city governance, disaster prevention, and smart city.

Taipei City Government announced Oct. 21 that six popular tourist spots in the capital have earned certification as Muslim-friendly environments, highlighting efforts to cement Taiwan as a destination for visitors from the Islamic world.

The theme of the 2019 Taipei Poetry Festival is “The Woodpecker on the Wall”. It showcases the richness and diversification of poetry through performances, lectures, poem film competition, and book exhibition. The festival started on September 21st and runs through October 6th. The organizer invites everyone to enjoy the beauty of poetry. There are poems and singers from Japan, Germany, America, Lithuania, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
