Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang attended the rousing music performance by the Taipei Philharmonic Chorus and Singapore’s Orchestra of the Music Makers at the Esplanade Concert Hall on 12 August 2017.  Over 1600 persons attended the concert, including 50 friends from the arts, business and academia, who were there at the invitation of Representative Liang.

Founded in 1972, the Taipei Philharmonic Chorus is highly regarded as Taiwan’s music ambassador and is performing in Singapore at the invitation of Singapore’s Orchestra of the Music Makers.  Representative Liang expressed his appreciation to the 89-member Taipei Philharmonic Chorus for its role in building bridges of cultural understanding through music.  The powerful performance of the Taipei Philharmonic Chorus at the musical extravaganza celebrating Edward William Elgar’s magnificent choral work, The Music Makers, won much applause and praise from the audience.
