Taiwan Tourism Bureau opens new office in Auckland

The Taiwan Tourism Bureau opened a new office in Auckland on June 17. Trust Lin, the director of the Auckland office, said that Taiwan will provide a better service to New Zealand with a new tourism platform, which will help create a win-win effect for the tourism industry in Taiwan and New Zealand.

Director Lin also announced that the 2019-2020 "Take me to Taiwan" marketing campaign started. Taiwan will invite four New Zealand celebrities to introduce Taiwan's food, culture, cycling and mountain-climbing themes. There will be quite a lot of advertisements in the future, creating a new wave of tourism to Taiwan.

From January to April this year, the number of tourists from New Zealand to Taiwan grew by as much as 25 percent, with a 48% increase in April. This set a new record high.

Jeff Liu , the Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Auckland, delivered a speech explaining the importance of bilateral economic, trade, cultural and educational links. He believed that the establishment of the office would enhance the links and exchanges of tourism.
