Director General Charles Li was invited by the Veltech University as a chief guest on 27th November 2017 to encourage the 73 students of Programme Vgyan to broaden their visions and to take challenges to study abroad.

Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Avadi has organised a Programme Vgyan to felicitate the students going Abroad for their Research Internship and Project Work. For this academic year, 73 final year students got this opportunity at various countries for doing their Research Project Work at various world renowned Institutions such as Fraunhofer IWS (Germany), Nanyang Technical University (Singapore), National Taiwan University (Taiwan), Moscow Aviation Institute (Russia), FH Dusseldorf (Germany), University of Orleans (France), University Sains Malaysia (Malaysia) etc.,. Out of these 73 students, 47 students are completely funded by the Partner University or Respective Countries’ Governments. The funding support varies from equivalent INR 50000 to INR 200000 per student. The remaining students will get partial finding support from Veltech.

Mr Charles Li, Director General, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai was the Chief Guest and addressed the students. Founder President Col.Prof.Dr.R.Rangarajan, Foundress President Dr.Sakunthala Rangarajan, Vice Chancellor Dr.Beela Satyanarayana, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr.U.Chandrasekhar, Registrar Dr.E.Kannan, Director for International Relations Dr.S.Sivaperumal and other Directors, Deans, HoDs and faculty members were present. Director General Charles Li advised that students on their living at Taiwan and the preparation. He wished all the students for their successful journey abroad and expected career change.
