Demonstration of Mohiniyattam, one of the eight classical dances of India that developed and remain popular in the state of Kerela, India, by Miss Hsuan Chen Liu received warm and widespread accolade from the audience. It was the first time that the classic Mohiniyattam could be introduced in depth in Taiwan. Mohiniyattam dance gets its name from the word Mohini - a mythical enchantress avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu, who helps the good prevail over evil by deploying her feminine powers. The subtleness and vividness in Miss Liu’s performance was described by Mr. Sridharan as “incredible” and “amazing”!

Both Mr. Charles Li and Mr. Sridharan are committed to facilitating more cultural exchange programs between Taiwan and south India.
