On 4 December 2019, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang attended the press conference at the Taiwan Pavilion of the Asia TV Market and Forum (ATF) as a show of his support for Taiwan’s TV and film products.

In his address, Representative Liang spoke of the close and intense cultural exchange between Taiwan and Singapore.  One dominant medium of this exchange is film and television, with six Taiwanese TV programs currently on air in Singapore.  “All is Well”, a Taiwan-Singapore co-produced suspense drama broadcasted simultaneously in Taiwan and Singapore in August this year, was well received by audiences in both countries.  Moreover, as a highly cosmopolitan country and culturally vibrant society, Singapore’s exposure to Taiwan’s TV and film products not only allows Singaporeans to get to know Taiwan’s rich talent and creativity but also facilitates the internationalization of Taiwan’s cultural and media industry.

Taiwan’s Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development led a delegation comprising a “national team” of TV and film creators to exhibit their wares at the Taiwan Pavilion of the ATF.  This year, 32 audiovisual operators showcasing 81 of their best works were represented at the ATF.
