On 27 December 2019, Deputy Representative and Mrs. Steven Tai attended the year-end dinner cum networking session organized by the Taipei Business Association in Singapore, on behalf of Representative Francis Liang. Over 100 persons were at the event, including the commissioners, coordinators, and advisers of the Overseas Community Affairs Council, and officials from the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore.

In his address, Deputy Representative Tai commended the Taipei Business Association in Singapore for its good work over the years. Under the stewardship of its various presidents, the association has provided an effective platform for its members to socialize and network.  Additionally, the Taiwan business community in Singapore has played an important part towards the economic development of Singapore, and touched the lives of many people in Taiwan through their many acts of compassion and generosity. Deputy Representative Tai closed his speech by thanking the association for its unwavering support for the various initiatives of the Taiwanese government and the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore.
