In the early morning of 1st January, 2023, H.E. Ambassador Vanessa Shih, accompanied by Deputy Director John Chang, participated in the New Year beach cleaning activity which was jointly organized by Brunei Buddha Light Association and the Taiwan Business Association in Brunei Darussalam at Maura Beach.

There were nearly 30 participants involved and worked together to protect the environment, in response to the purposes and goals of the “United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change” (UNFCCC) and the “Sustainable Development Goals Agenda” (SDGs), and also do the best for the responsibility and obligation of “environmental protection and love the earth”.

On the first day of the new year, it’s really meaningful for everyone to do as "let go of the old, take hold of the new" at the Muara beach.
