The Taiwan Expo 2024 in Thailand, promoted by the International Trade Administration (TITA) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), opened on November 21 in Bangkok, Thailand. This year’s Expo featured 170 leading Taiwanese companies that showcased innovations in 5 key industries: smart manufacturing, smart medical care, the circular economy, smart lifestyles, and culture & tourism, under the theme “Explore Tomorrow’s Innovations at the Taiwan Expo 2024”.

From October 23 to 25, 2024, the Taiwan Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, together with the Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism and six domestic MICE industry partners, participated in ITB Asia in Singapore to actively promote Taiwan’s business and MICE tourism. The Taiwan Pavilion, designed around the new tourism brand “Waves of Wonder,” took inspiration from Taiwan’s diverse natural landscapes.

Taiwan Innotech Expo is set to take place Oct. 17-19 in Taipei City-based World Trade Center, demonstrating the accomplishments of the country’s artificial intelligence, semiconductor and other industries.

Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Chen Chern-chyi led the delegation to the 14th APEC Energy Ministerial Meeting convened in Lima, Peru, on August 15 and 16, sharing Taiwan’s achievements in renewable energy development, just energy transition experience, and hydrogen energy development goals.

Last year (2023), visitors from New Southbound countries to Taiwan exceeded 1.6 million, accounting for 32.87% of the total number of visitors. To further solidify this market, the Taiwan Tourism Administration, the International Trade Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Kaohsiung City Government, in collaboration with 22 Taiwanese MICE industry operators, advanced to Bangkok for the IT&CMA (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia) from September 24 to 26, 2024.
