Emirates to fly Dubai-Taipei flight to bring Taiwanese home

Dubai-based carrier Emirates said Wednesday it will operate a flight from Dubai to Taipei on April 18 to help transfer Taiwanese nationals wishing to return home.The Boeing 777-300ER flight is among flights the airline will operate to cities such as Tunis, Jakarta, Manila, Algiers, Chicago and Kabul for similar purposes.

Taiwan donation of 300,000 masks arrives in Philippines

A shipment of 300,000 surgical face masks donated by Taiwan to the Philippines arrived in the capital Manila on Wednesday to help the neighboring country fight the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Taiwan continues its commitment to the post-quake recovery and reconstruction in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia

In March 2020, the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) launched the “Central Sulawesi Earthquake WASH Recovery Program (Indonesia).” This project marks the continued support of Taiwan to the earthquake affected population in 2018 in Central Sulawesi. The project will help the target population to gain access to clean water and sanitary facilities and reduce open defecation practices, so that they can rebuild their lives and livelihoods as soon as possible.
