Taiwan wins big at IDC Smart City Asia Pacific Awards

Taiwan emerged as the biggest winner at the 2020 IDC Smart City Asia Pacific Awards (SCAPA), according to the organizer, U.S.-headquartered International Data Corp. (IDC). The Taipei, New Taipei, Tainan and Kaohsiung city governments won awards in the education, civic engagement, smart water, public health and social services categories, respectively, according to IDC.

CORONAVIRUS/344 Vietnamese in Taiwan repatriated on government charter flight

The Vietnam government repatriated 344 citizens on a charter flight from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on Friday and also helped facilitate the return of some Taiwanese who had been stranded in Vietnam due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
