“The 34th Joint Conference of the ROC-Australia and Australia-Taiwan Business Councils” was Convened at Taipei and Brisbane

The Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA), Taiwan and the Australia-Taiwan Business Council (ATBC) jointly convened the “34th Joint Conference of the ROC-Australia and Australia-Taiwan Business Councils” on Nov. 4, 2021 at the Hua Nan Bank International Convention Center, Taipei and Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. More than 260 Taiwanese and Australian participants attended the meeting venues or joined the meeting online.

A Taiwan Delegation headed by Mr Ben Wang, Director General of Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai, was invited to visit the state of Telangana from 28 to 30 July. In addition to attending a roundtable economic conference, the delegation visit two industrial parks and meet with representatives from industries through the arrangement of Invest in India. One of the key agendas is the formation of a Taiwan Cluster.

On 26 March, Former Vice President of Taiwan and Academician of Academia Sinica Dr. Chen, Chien-jen attended online “Presidents’ Forum 2021” and delivered a keynote speech titled Global Health and Universal Vaccination”. This forum was held by National Science and Technology Development Agency(NSTDA) which is the highest level of scientific research institute in Thailand. Taipei Economic and Cultural Office was invited to the forum as an important counterpart.
