NTU most popular university with international students in Taiwan

National Taiwan University (NTU) has the most enrolled international students among all universities in Taiwan for the 2019 academic year, according to a report released Friday by the Ministry of Education (MOE). NTU topped the enrollment list of national universities with 2,970 international students, followed by National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) with 1,899, National Chengchi University (1,581), National Taiwan Normal University (1,476) and National Tsing Hua University (1,440).

MOL to offer electronic work permits for international students

In a press release, the agency said that while international students have been able to apply for work permits online since February, the new measure, which takes effect Jan. 1, will give them the choice of using either card-based or electronic permits. Previously, students receive only card-based permits even when they apply for the permits online.
