ART TAIPEI 2019 REPRODUCTION OF LIGHT IN THE ASIAN ART CIRCLE, EXPANDING THE HORIZON OF CHINESE ART

The celebrated Asian art event that draws the attention of the global art circle, ART TAIPEI 2019, which takes place annually in the fall, shall be held from October 18-21 this year at Exhibition Hall 1 of Taipei World Trade Center. The pre-exhibition press conference is held on the 17th of this month on the 36th floor of Taipei 101, providing the first glimpse of the exhibition’s highlights, and acting as the official one-month countdown to ART TAIPEI 2019.

TV shows promoting Taiwan to be aired in four countries: MOFA

Four tailor-made television shows promoting Taiwan and co-produced by the Taiwan government and TV stations in four Asian countries will be aired in their respective countries next month with the aim to enhance people-to-people ties, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said Tuesday.

Taiwan clinches first gold in Asian Baseball Championship in 18 years

Taiwan on Sunday clinched the gold medal in a neck-to-neck championship game at the 2019 Asian Baseball Championship, after beating Japan 5-4 at the tournament held in Taichung. This marks the first No.1 finish for the national squad, competing under the name Chinese Taipei, in the tournament since 2001.

Asia’s longest-running global art fair to light up Taipei

The 26th Art Taipei fair will be held at the Taipei World Trade Center from Oct. 18 through 21, with the opening ceremony scheduled for the afternoon of Oct. 17. This year, the exhibition has invited 141 top galleries from 12 different countries to exhibit their works in Taiwan and hold art lectures that resonate with the fair theme of "Reproduction of Light."
