A delegation of Taiwan musicians and music industry representatives is set to visit Malaysia Aug. 28-31, underscoring government efforts to bolster cultural ties with Southeast Asia.

Kuala Lumpur, Aug. 20 (CNA) Musicians from Taiwan and Malaysia are teaming up again in a second edition of the "Taiwan X Malaysia Musician Exchange" later this month in Kuala Lumpur, the Ministry of Culture (MOC) said Tuesday.

Taipei, Aug. 20 (CNA) Taiwan's tourism revenue reached a quarterly record of US$3.96 billion in the second quarter of the year, the country's central bank reported Tuesday. The 2019 Chinese Taipei School, Kuala Lumpur Graduation Ceremony was held in the school hall on June 15, for 71 graduates: 12 students graduating from kindergarten, 20 from primary school, 15 from junior secondary school, and 24 from senior secondary school. Parents, teachers, and the board of directors attended the ceremony to celebrate these milestones in the students’ learning journeys.

The Taiwan Tourism Bureau has partnered with a metro system in India to promote Taiwan as a travel destination. The special Mumbai Metro train is to be decorated with famous sites from Taiwan. It will run this month in conjunction with India’s Independence Day.
