On 24 August 2019, Deputy Representative Steven Tai attended the opening ceremony of the Preliminary Screening of the Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) 2019 at PIXEL, Singapore. Fifteen renowned judges from 6 countries were on the assessment panel to shortlist the most outstanding works for the finals of the competition.
Six students, who are scheduled to go to Taiwan in September to study for Master or PhD Degree and on exchange programs, on the afternoon of August 22 called on Director-General Charles Li of TECC in Chennai.
On the morning of 30th July 2019, Director-General Mr. Charles Li of TECC in Chennai was invited to launch the programme held at Government Higher Secondary School, Thiruvallur (TL) district, Tamil Nadu. Mrs. Juliana Chin, Deputy Director also joined the ceremony.

On the evening of July 9th 2019, Mr. Charles Li, Director-General of TECC in Chennai, and his colleagues, families were invited to watch the puppet show of “The Old Man with His Friends” performed by Taiwanese artist Mr. Shu-ming Ju, as part of the 10th Little Theatre Festival.
In the evening of July 2, 2019, the world’s famous Formosa Circus Art (FOCA) troupe from Taiwan has staged their cultural performance “The Heart of Asia” at Rani Seethai Hall in Chennai, under the New Southbound Policy Cultural Tour sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan). The performance was highly praised by the audience in Chennai.
Mr. Charles Li, Director-General of TECC in Chennai was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 2019 India-Taiwan University Vice-Chancellors/Presidents/Directors Forum with the theme of “A Better Higher Education: Internationalization, Quality Assurance and Employability” held at the NIT-Warangal, Telangana on June 22, 2019. He also witnessed the signing ceremony of an MOU between AIU and FICHET.
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau opened a new office in Auckland on June 17. Trust Lin, the director of the Auckland office, said that Taiwan will provide a better service to New Zealand with a new tourism platform, which will help create a win-win effect for the tourism industry in Taiwan and New Zealand.
