Muslim-friendly certification given to 6 Taipei tourist spots

Taipei City Government announced Oct. 21 that six popular tourist spots in the capital have earned certification as Muslim-friendly environments, highlighting efforts to cement Taiwan as a destination for visitors from the Islamic world.

Before participating in the WTM London in November, the TPEDOIT invited British bloggers Alyshia Ford, Janet NewenHam, Russian media worker Pavel Kushchenko, and Russian blogger cum writer Shamov Dmitry to embark on a 7-day 6-night media tour in Taipei. The aim is to proactively elevate Taipei’s reputation and popularity in the European market through diverse communication platforms, thereby generating new economic benefits for tourism.

The Pingtung County Government joined the Fine Food Australia and expects making hundreds of millions per year.

The Fine Food Australia 2019 ended on the 12th. The Pingtung County Government led eight suppliers to take part in this event, including Culinary First Taiwan Pte. Ltd., Wei-I Foodstuff Co., Ltd., Gen Ya, My Health Diary, Young Sun Frozen Food Co., Ltd., Yi Shiang Food Factory, Horn-Liang and Seven Star.

Six tourist attractions in Taipei, including the National Palace Museum and Taipei 101, have been certified by the Taipei government as Muslim-friendly as the city steps up efforts to make itself more welcoming to Muslim visitors.
