Premier Lai Ching-te today urged government agencies to continue the fight against money laundering, saying the work has broad and significant impacts on Taiwan, from the maintenance of law order and clean governance, to Taiwan’s financial and trade relations with other countries, even the efforts of Taiwanese firms to invest and expand overseas. Taiwan is the 23rd best economy in the world in terms of attracting, developing and retaining top talent for the second consecutive year, according to Switzerland-based International Institute for Management Development (IMD).

Taiwan should continue enhancing cooperation with other Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation member economies so as to create more global business opportunities for the country, according to Premier Lai Ching-te Nov. 16.
