New Zealand held parliamentary elections on October 14. Based on current results, Prime Minister Chris Hipkins, leader of the Labour Party, has conceded defeat to Christopher Luxon, head of the National Party, who is expected to form a new government. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) sincerely congratulates New Zealand on the smooth completion of the elections, which exemplifies and demonstrates the success and accomplishments of its democracy.

The Executive Yuan on Wednesday released the international promotional video Time For Taiwan. Building on a series of activities organized around this year’s National Day, the video aims to engender national pride and invites people from all over the world to visit Taiwan, with a focus on fun, safety and convenience.

Taiwan’s continuing campaign to seek participation in the United Nations system has received greater international support than ever this year.
