On 26 March 2018, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang visited the Taiwan Pavilion at the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and Exhibition, an annual event which brings together international education policy-makers, practitioners and experts from across the globe.
Mr. Lai Shi-lu of Yilan County Government led a delegation comprising tour operators, accommodation providers and the children's folk dance troupe, Lan Yang Dancers, to promote Yilan as a choice tourist destination at the NATAS Travel Fair on 21 March 2018.
TAIWAN EXPO 2018 will be held in Jakarta March 29-31, with the aim of building stable, long-term and dedicated relations between Taiwan and Indonesia, and in turn, cultivating diverse development and mutually beneficial opportunities on both sides.
The 2018 Spring Festival Cultural "Diabolo Dance Theater" hosted by Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), with the "Ocean Celebration" as the theme. It was performed at the Ciputra Hall in Surabaya on March 11th. The program was wonderful. It interacted with the audience and received enthusiastic from over 700 audiences.
On 8 February 2018, the 16th ROC Delegation of Teen Diplomatic Envoys called on Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang at the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore. The delegation consisted of 12 students from Taoyuan Municipal Wu-Ling Senior High School, Taipei Fuhsing Private School and Taipei First Girls High School who were selected from over 400 candidates nominated by 122 educational institutions in Taiwan. On 15 February 2018, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang hosted a reunion dinner for the 25-member Dance Department delegation from the National Taiwan University of Sport who are in Singapore to perform at the River Hongbao 2018 Festival.
Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang attended the Singapore Kim Mui Hoey Kuan’s Lunar New Year Gathering 2018 on 17 February 2018 at the invitation of the association’s President, Mr. Chua Kee Seng, and its two Vice Presidents, Mr. Tan Tock Han and Mr. Teo Siong Seng. Also present at the gathering were Deputy Representative Steven Tai, Mr. Heman Chen, Coordinator of the Overseas Community Affairs Council, and other officials of the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore.
On 27 January 2018, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang attended the opening reception for “Theatre of Reality: Solo Exhibition of Chou Ching-Hui’ at the invitation of DECK, whose mission is to deepen the appreciation for art photography in the region. Mr. Chou’s exhibition marks the first time a Taiwanese photographer is invited by DECK to showcase his works in Singapore.
On 26 January 2018, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang invited over 110 friends from the arts circle, including artists from Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, art museum directors, and arts agents to his residence for an evening of cultural exchange and Taiwanese art appreciation.
On 27 January 2018, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang presided over the 2018 Handover of the President and Inauguration Ceremony of 25 new committee members of the Taipei Business Association in Singapore (TBA SG). Also at the ceremony were Deputy Representative Steven Tai and other officials from the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore.
