Deputy Mayor Linghu Visits Australia to Promote City Diplomacy and Strengthen Bilateral Relations

2019 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors' Forum will place in Brisbane, Australia from July 7 to 10, and Taichung City Deputy Mayor Bruce Linghu has been invited to participate in the event on behalf of Mayor Shiow-yen Lu, where he met with representatives from Taichung's sister city Auckland (New Zealand), Uvs Province (Mongolia), Government of Queensland, Busan (South Korea), and Ichikawa City (Chiba Prefecture, Japan) to discuss collaborations between cities.

The 2019 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors' Forum will place in Brisbane, Australia from July 7 to 10, and Taichung City Deputy Mayor Bruce Linghu has been invited to participate in the event. Today (8th), he signed an MOU on international exchange with Brisbane Mayor Adrian Schrinner to promote exchanges and collaboration between the 2 cities in areas such as innovation development, investment, sports, education, tourism, and disaster management.

Taipei City Assists Businesses to Take Up Demographic Dividend Opportunity in Malaysia and Break Into Penang!

The Taipei City Government will exhibit in the Taiwan Expo in Malaysia as “Taipei Your Partner Pavilion” for the second year this year (2019) in order to develop the Malaysian market. The exhibition will open at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre on 5th July for two days, where 16 businesses from Taipei City have been invited by the City Government to take part.

To promote Taipei’s exceptional MICE attributes and to support the government’s New Southbound Policy, the Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) once again participated in the Bureau of Foreign Trade of MOEA’s Taiwan’s MICE Promotion Program (Meet Taiwan) promotion delegation this year, visiting 3 countries including Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines to organize promotional campaigns and briefings.
