Tsai taps Soong to head APEC summit delegation, outlines priorities

As many APEC member economies are also New Southbound Policy target countries, Tsai said she hopes that through participating in this year’s summit, the delegation can promote her administration’s goals under the initiative.

Executive Yuan enhances women’s economic participation through APEC

The Executive Yuan’s Department of Gender Equality announced that Deputy Minister Kao Shien-quey of the National Development Council will lead a representative delegation drawn from 16 public and private organizations to Vietnam for the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Women and the Economy Forum from September 26 to 29.

President Tsai meets delegates to APEC Business Advisory Council

During a meeting on the morning of July 18 with Taiwan's delegation to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Advisory Council (ABAC), President Tsai Ing-wen praised the delegates for their active participation in ABAC, noting that their efforts have increased Taiwan's international visibility. She also urged the delegates to continue using the APEC platform to help Taiwanese firms create more business opportunities, and help Taiwan continue to excel on the international stage.
