Titled “Second Chance,” the video was inspired by the true story of a girl who was brought to Taiwan at 13 months old to receive a liver transplant. Suffering from a potentially fatal ailment, the little girl was given a second chance at life through the successful operation carried out by a Taiwan medical team.

Premier Lin Chuan attended the Overseas Community Affairs Council’s (OCAC) 2017 Job Fair for Southeast Asia today, saying Taiwan deeply values people-to-people exchanges with Southeast Asia. He hopes that Southeast Asians who work or study in Taiwan can take those experiences home and expand their ties with Taiwanese businesses there.

President Tsai further stated that the New Southbound Policy does not focus exclusively on business, trade, and tourism. Taiwan and the Philippines are close neighbors, so hopefully in the future we will be able to further enhance our interactions on all fronts.
