The 31^st Chiayi City International Band Festival is about to kick off on December 15. There are 13 bands and 3 renowned musicians from Finland, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau and Malaysia participating. Chiayi City Government held the press conference for the festival and invited the 2 golds from All-Japan Marching Contest: Narashino High School Symphony Band and Takigawa II Wind Orchestra & Marching Band to give performances.

The New Taipei City Government continues to utilize information technology and digital tools to create a better living environment for the citizens. This year, the “NewTaiPAY” mobile payment app is nominated to compete with international applicants from 20 countries/regions, including the UK, USA, Brazil, Canada, Spain, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and more in the 2023 International Innovation Awards.

In collaboration with Welcome Holiday Travel Service Co., Ltd. of Kaohsiung City the Chiayi County Government extended an invitation to over ten Filipino travel agency operators to form a tour group and visit the tourism attractions of the Alishan Mountains. The Chiayi County Government hopes that business operators can promote Chiayi County tourism after returning to the Philippines.

To attract international startups and foster collaboration with local businesses, Taipei City is promoting the Taipei Entrepreneurs Hub (TEH) as the brand for the city’s international startup community. Today, on the 10th, TEH hosted the “2023 Global Health Tech Connects Taipei” at t.Hub, with the theme of Greater Health. 6 selected international startup teams, along with 6 Taipei startups, including Taipei Biotech Award-winning teams, have been invited to participate in this grand event.

New Taipei City visited to Singapore today to participate in the “2023 IDC Future Enterprise Awards” Asia-Pacific Awards Ceremony. The New Taipei City Government competed with more than a thousand of projects from 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Australia, etc., competing together for 18 categories of awards, with the result of winning the most awards out of all the Asia-Pacific region.

In order to deepen international exchanges and promote New Taipei City’s key policies and events, the New Taipei City Government invited 30 distinguished guests from 6 countries, including Paraguay, Guatemala, the United States, Switzerland, Hungary, and Indonesia, to attend the “2023 Taiwan Design Expo”. The VIPs included delegations from New Taipei City’s sister cities and friendship cities, ambassadors and representatives to Taiwan, and foreign visitors.

Deputy Mayor Guo-Rong Huang of the Taichung City Government, the invitee, attended the “2023 Asia Pacific Cities Summit & Mayor’s Forum, APCS” held recently in Brisbane, Australia, on behalf of Mayor Show-Yen Lu.

This year, Taipei Entrepreneurs Hub (TEH) held its annual international online pitch contest, with a specific focus on the thriving Greater Health Industry. They extended invitations to notable companies, such as BE Health Ventures, Taipei Medical University’s BioMed Accelerator, and Taipei BioInnovation Park, to join as corporate partners and judging representatives.

The International Convention Center Sydney (ICC Sydney) recently hosted Fine Food Australia 2023. The Pingtung County Government attended the show. The specialties of Pingtung and the variety of processed foods were completely displayed by Pingtung County, which grew to be the sole major county and municipal unit. The Pingtung County Government intends to take advantage of this chance to broaden its international market.

Tainan will be hosting the world’s three largest orchid exhibitions in the coming two years: the 23^rd World Orchid Conference (WOC) and the 20^th Taiwan International Orchid Show in 2024, and the 15^th Asia Pacific Orchid Conference (APOC) in 2025. To show that the city is dedicated to hosting the next edition, Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che attended this year’s event in Singapore and was invited to speak at the closing ceremony.
