Traditional cultural shows and skills training classes kicked off in Taipei on Sunday at two Indonesian migrant worker events that attracted hundreds of participants from across Taiwan.

A Taipei church has been giving away free groceries and daily necessities to migrant workers and international students since late April, to help them through the new coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, a priest at the church said Friday. Indonesian state-owned Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) said Sunday that it has distributed thousands of surgical face masks for Indonesian migrant workers in Taiwan in an effort to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
