Local vaccine maker to form joint venture with Singapore firm

A Taiwan-based vaccine manufacturer, along with its subsidiary, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Tuesday with a Singaporean company for a joint venture in Southeast Asia to explore local markets.

MOEA’s Industrial Development Bureau promotes Taiwan’s Cybersecurity R&D Capabilities

During 2020, Taiwan was relatively unaffected by the global pandemic. The Cyber Taiwan Pavilion was the only physical cybersecurity exhibition to take place in the Asia Pacific region. Furthermore, Taiwan’s cybersecurity industry flourished, with an 11.9 percent growth rate. This year, the Cyber Taiwan Pavilion was held on May 4-6 at Hall 2 of Taipei’s Nangang Exhibition Center.

The production value of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry is expected to rise more than 18 percent in 2021 compared to the previous year due to strong global demand for computers and internet-related devices, according to the Industrial Economics and Knowledge Center (IEK).
