The Executive Yuan’s Department of Gender Equality is delighted to report that Taiwan has ranked second in its first ever inclusion in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) Social Institutions and Gender Index (SIGI), placing behind only Belgium in the 2023 edition of the index, which surveyed 179 countries and territories.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has received official notification from the US government that its executive branch has informed Congress of a US$619 million sale of two types of missiles—the AGM-88B and AIM-120C—to Taiwan.
