Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) announced that the fourth major update for the MRT add-value machine system is now underway. By the end of October, machines across all MRT stations will provide services in four more languages -- Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian, in addition to the existing language options of Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.
Social Bureau of Taichung City Government held the “Volunteers Recruitment Platform Creativity Events” on October 8th to encourage people to be a part of the volunteer team for the Floral Expo. Some 105 teams of volunteers have signed up that made this recruitment fruitful. More and more people are appealed to join the crew. There were more than 10,000 people registered as Floral Expo Volunteers in “teams” and registration of volunteers by “individuals” was also opened.
Themed “Flowers in Hakka Community”, arts parade is going to be performed in Dongshih. Performers of various arts, including musicians, dancers, acrobatics local performers and school clubs in this mountain town, totaled 12, are invited to join this parade. Collaborating with local Hakka community culture and special regional industry, they endeavor to promote cross-over exchange to allow people to know more the cultural and arts performers and special local industry in Taichung.
