Taichung City Government, this year, successfully organized the “2017 UNFCCC NFO Forum” for the first time. City Mayor Lin Chia-lung was invited on the 28th to address at a keynote speech entitled “Building a Livable Sustainable City.” Mayor Lin talked about four challenges of Taichung including imbalance of urban development, traffic congestion, climate change risk and environmental pollution.

The one-minute image video was launched on the 28th on the Fanpage of Taichung World Flora Exposition on Facebook. The 23rd World Orchid Conference will be held grandly in March 2020. Taichung City Government held a presentation on the 27th. Deputy Mayor Chang Guang-yao hosted the AIPH autumn conference on behalf of Mayor Lin Chia-lung to discussed matters over with members invited from various countries.
In expanding into the South Asian market, the central government has held the 15th Asia Business Day for the first time in Taichung, where 70 medium to large buyers from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal negotiated one on one with over 400 manufacturers in Taiwan.

Mayor Lin Chia-lung signed the MOU on agricultural cooperation with Nicolas Floch, the mayor of Saint-Pol-de-Léon, the premier center of agriculture and horticulture France.
