South Asia Business Day held in Taichung for the first time – Generating over US$40 million opportunity

In expanding into the South Asian market, the central government has held the 15th Asia Business Day for the first time in Taichung, where 70 medium to large buyers from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal negotiated one on one with over 400 manufacturers in Taiwan.

Taichung City Government is endeavoring to promote the export of its specialty agricultural products. Mayor Lin Chia-lung signed the MOU on agricultural cooperation with Nicolas Floch, the mayor of Saint-Pol-de-Léon, the premier center of agriculture and horticulture France. In the future, both parties will cooperate to promote the import and export of produce, flowers, and gardening products.

Taichung City will hold the 2018 International Flora Expo and the 2019 East Asia Youth Olyimpics, Mayor Lin noted on the 4th in the city council that the Youth Olympiad was a successful promotion for Taipei internationally, proving to be good city diplomacy, Taichung city will also hold several international events, the mayor hopes to use this opportunity to bring Taichung City to the world.
