It has been the third anniversary of Taichung International Animation Festival. It will be held at Taichung ShowTimes (Taichung Rail Station) from October 13 to October 17. There will be 143 animation films coming from 35 countries or areas to be released in 40 shows.

In order to promote the 2018 International Taichung Flora Exhibition, the city government’s Tourism Bureau held a promotional event on the 23nd in Seoul, specifically inviting re-known chef A-Ching to put on the “2018 International Taichung Flora Expo Cuisine Show”, utilizing local fruits and elements from flowers to present artistic soups, desserts and ice.

Upon their arrival at Civic Plaza in front of City Hall at 5:30 PM, the athletes received a warm welcome by Mayor Ko Wen-je amidst rapturous applause from the audience.

He arrived in Taichung earlier to visit Mayor Lin. In addition to the reunion with an old friend, they also discussed widely on the plan of constructing Taichung into an international non-governmental organization (INGO) center.
Taichung City will hold the 2018 International Taichung Flora Exposition, The City Tourism Bureau and the National Tourism Quality Assurance Association held two promotional events in Taipei and Kaohsiung, to introduce central Taiwan tourism products and to seek cooperation. Furthermore, the tourism bureau also hopes to sign a MOU between central Taiwan and southern Taiwan tourism alliance, to promote a “enter south, exit central and also enter central, exit south” model.

“Taipei in Motion,” a short film promoting the Aug. 19-30 Summer Universiade, the largest international sporting event ever staged in Taiwan, was named a winner of the Red Dot Award for communication design Aug. 10.
Mayor Wen-Je Ko stated that the Universiade gathered all broadcasting resources from all major broadcasting companies in Taiwan, including 14 Outside Broadcasting Trucks, 6 Sub-Control Systems and more than 5,000 production personnel to complete the largest task in the broadcasting history of Taiwan.
