United States Vice President Kamala Harris reaffirmed the importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait at the 18th East Asia Summit held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on September 7. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also conveyed concern over regional security issues, including in the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea, during a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit.

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan reaffirmed the importance of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait at the ASEAN-Japan Summit held in Indonesia on September 6. A workshop on promoting sustainable aviation was staged by Taiwan, the U.S., Japan and Australia under the Global Cooperation and Training Framework Aug. 29-30 in Taipei City, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
