Premier touts Taiwan’s economic performance

At the Cabinet’s weekly meeting Thursday, Premier Su Tseng-chang received a National Development Council briefing on economic trends for 2022. Over the past year, the Cabinet team worked side by side with the people of Taiwan to keep COVID-19 at bay while creating another economic miracle. Nevertheless, we still face many challenges in the new year ahead, the premier said, such as new COVID variants, inflationary pressure, and global requirements for net-zero emissions.

MOFA welcomes Czechia push to strengthen ties with Taiwan

In response to the threat posed by the Omicron variant, after discussions with relevant agencies and assessments, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced on January 9 that it will maintain the Level 2 epidemic alert, effective from January 9 and January 24.
