Branders of the Belgian Office in Taipei, Chief Representative Kazuyuki Katayama of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, and Representative Yip Wei Kiat of the Singapore Trade Office in Taipei, to express appreciation for their support of the 2024 Taichung Shopping Festival and to exchange views on global trade challenges stemming from rising U.S. tariffs.

Taiwan and Thai performance artists engage in international dialogue

Supported by the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, Taiwanese artist Chen Jun-yu (陳俊宇) and curator Chou Yu-heng (周妤衡) collaborated with Thai artist Dujdao Vadhanapakorn to host a workshop from Mar. 29 to 30. The workshop explored different perspectives on the death penalty in Taiwan and Thailand, extending into issues of power and the psychology behind punishment.

Taiwan’s National Immigration Agency Ranks 4th Globally for Best Airport Immigration Service in 2025 Skytrax Awards

The National Immigration Agency’s (NIA) Border Affairs Corps has earned global recognition in the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards, securing 4th place in the World’s Best Airport Immigration Service category. This prestigious accolade places Taiwan just behind Hong Kong International Airport, Singapore Changi Airport, and Bahrain International Airport. Skytrax, a UK-based independent non-profit organization, has conducted annual global airport evaluations since 1999.

The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, in collaboration with the Jim Thompson Art Center and Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, co-organizes the international exhibition “The Shattered Worlds: Micro Narratives from the Ho Chi Minh Trail to the Great Steppe.” Opened on Apr. 3, the exhibition features Taiwan-based Malaysian artist Au Sow-yee (區秀詒) and Taiwanese artist Yang Jun (楊俊).

It is part of the “Histories and Archives of Independent Art Spaces of Asia” international symposium, which will take place from Apr. 11 to 13.
