The donation ceremony was held in Yangon on September 13, 2023. In addition to Myanmar Liver Foundation President Khin Pyone Kyi, Chairman Tin Nyunt, Deputy CEO of Ling Jiou Mountain Foundation Samuel Chen, and Vice Superintendent of Taoyuan General Hospital Wang Wei-jie all having made remarks on behalf of their respective organizations, Dr. Chung Hsing Chou, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Myanmar was also invited to witness the ceremony and deliver remarks.
This year’s competition not only boasts a rich variety of ingredients but also incorporates the use of light cooking techniques, showcasing the diversity of Taiwan’s halal cuisine. The participating teams are formidable, with two teams each from the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Faculty of Hospitality, Tourism and Wellness and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Department of Food Service and Management, competing for the title of this year’s Taiwan Halal Food Champion.
This is the first time Taiwan Expo is returning to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) after the pandemic lockdowns and we will be bringing 160 Taiwanese manufacturers across 9 themed pavilions and 5 special exhibition areas. This year’s event will focus on Industry 4.0, smart medicine, halal products, the circular economy, and smart lifestyle.
