OAC stages conference in Taipei on impact of ocean sand dredging

An international conference on the impact of sand dredging in the ocean took place May 31 in Taipei City as part of ongoing government efforts to protect Taiwan’s marine ecology, according to the Ocean Affairs Council.

SEA Advisory Committee meeting resumes, strengthening Taiwan-Southeast Asia ties

The members of the Ministry of Culture’s Southeast Asia Advisory Committee (SEAAC) gathered at the National Taiwan Museum on May 30 for the first time after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. This year, the event saw the participation of 15 advisory committee members from 10 countries including Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, Vietnam, India, and New Zealand.

Under Ministry of Culture’s Spotlight Taiwan Project (台灣文化光點計畫), the 9th Sultan Idris Education University Chinese Literature Festival will be held on the theme “Crossing Borders And Transboundary (跨界與跨際)” in Malaysia, aiming to promote cultural exchange and understanding by showcasing literary works from Taiwanese and Malaysian authors.

Raksha Shakti University, which has been declared an “institution of national importance”, was established in 2020 when the Indian parliament passed the Rashtriya Raksha University Act, upgrading the former state level Raksha Shakti University into a pioneering national security and police university. It is mandated to build national capacity by enhancing the skills of personnel who work in institutions related to India's national security and national defense.
